I’d like adults to have fun watching it and to feel like children again for a while.”。在东北一个中等工业城市中生活着这么一家有趣的人，老爸牛大爷退休前曾是劳模，退休后也不闲着，整体好管闲事；儿子牛小伟原先也在牛大爷的工厂里当工人，当时正值90年代国企改革，小伟成了下岗工人，下岗后的他不闲着，下海在自家的小区附近开起了小饭馆；女儿职中毕业了一时还没找到工作。这么一家人在街坊街里闹了不少笑话，他们生活的点点滴滴成了人们茶余饭后津津乐道的趣闻。。
