由項明生策劃的45天日本環島豪華團，TVB找來張寶兒（Bowie）、蔣家旻、姜麗文（Lesley）隨行，在James帶領下拍攝全程，走遍日本一都一道二府及22個縣，橫跨本州、北海道、四國、九州，到訪多個大型祭典及避暑勝地，並拍攝成共6集的旅遊節目《45日環遊日本》，將於明晚起在翡翠台播出。。本片描述了隋炀帝荒淫无度，好大喜功，施暴政，不听真言，最终导致大规模农民起义的故事。隋末至唐初，广征史籍记载，运用丰富的艺术手段，从“李世民劝说父亲兴起义兵”讲起，形象地再现了一个大变动时代跌宕起伏、波澜壮阔的历史场面。同时又让观众看到了人民群众力量的伟大，熟知了“水能载舟亦能覆舟”之真谛，是具时代性的作品，而非普通的历史片。。Reva, a cheerful student, suddenly changes after her 21st birthday.
