Set caught Isis in the act and had Osiris cut to pieces, with each piece buried in a different part of the land, so Isis could ...。二次世界大战期间，美军不费吹灰之力就攻占了西西里岛一个小镇，不料一夜狂欢之后德军反扑，美军反成为阶下囚。而此时美军上级已获报胜利，欲亲赴小镇一尝胜利滋味。被囚的美军只好以妙计逃亡，在长官面前表演一场假戏真做的战争。构想奇妙而具讽刺性的战争喜剧，表达战争的荒谬感颇为成功。詹姆斯．科伯恩、迪克．肖恩、奥尔多．雷等演员的表演生动，娱乐效果不俗。当然也是与导演布莱克．爱德华兹与编剧威廉．彼得．布莱提的不凡功力分不开的。。
